Thieman Stowaway Liftgate LRST 40EST

TLRST

The LRST (Level Ride Stowaway) is designed for handling loads of up to 4,000 lbs. and features a self-leveling action and an adjustable platform to provide a stable, “level with truck” surface for all types of loading conditions.

With maintenance being a major concern among fleets today, Thieman has incorporated self-lubricating Teflon bearings at all of the LRST pivot points. The LRST has a unique design so the cylinder rods are retracted during transit to protect them from road debris. The LRST also includes a standard plastic pump enclosure for protection from the weather. All of these features reduce the need for maintenance and keep your trucks and trailers on the road.

Along with a large 80″ x 60″ aluminum platform and self-lubricating bearings, is the industry’s strongest lift frame. This makes the THIEMAN LRST the most efficient, reliable and durable Level Ride Stowaway in its class.

With the liftgate integrated into the truck body as the rear door, you get the benefit of having a liftgate without the added weight. The large platform complete with safety rails and cart stops, give your driver the comfort and ergonomics they are looking for while completing a long day of deliveries. The FM1000 also saves operation time by up to 45% when compared to traditional flipaway tailgates.

The tilting platform of a cantilever liftgate keeps your load level, even on hills. These liftgates are welded or bolted to the frame of the vehicle chassis. The platform closes in an upright position against the rear door of the vehicle. As an option, the platform can double as the vehicle's rear door, providing a weather tight seal.

Slide-away liftgates typically bolt to mounting brackets that are welded to the trailer cross-members and are compatible with either roll-up or swing-type doors. The platform slides in and out form underneath the vehicle on stationary tracks. The gate stores completely under the vehicle, does not add to overall vehicle length and is not susceptible to impact damage at loading docks.

In the travel position, the platform stores over the rear door.
